Appendix: Additional conditions, and advisory notes on legal alternatives
A: Additional conditions:
1. The attached technical report, with any of its attachments, forms part of this Type Approval certificate.
2 Each type from series production shall be to the measurements specified in the attached drawings, and shall be
manufactured only from the materials specified in the Approval documents.
3 Changes in the type are permitted only with the explicit permission of NSAI. Breaches of this requirement will
lead to a withdrawal of the Type Approval, and in addition may be subject to criminal prosecution.
At regular intervals, any tests or associated checks prescribed by the applicable legislation to verify continued
conformity with the approved type shall be carried out. The manufacturer shall demonstrate compliance with
this by submitting to NSAI evidence of adequate arrangements and documented control plans for each type
approved.
Any set of samples or test pieces showing evidence of non-conformity shall give rise to further sampling and
testing and all steps shall be taken to restore conformity of production.
This Type Approval will expire when it is surrendered by the holder, or withdrawn by NSAI, or when the
approved type no longer conforms to legal requirements. The recall of the Type Approval can be issued by
NSAI when the conditions required for the issuing or continuation of the Type Approval are no longer current,
or when the Approval holder is in breach of the duties attached to the Type Approval, or when it is established
that the approved type no longer meets the requirements of traffic safety.
Changes in the company name, address or manufacturing site, as well as in any of the sales or other agents
specified in the issuing of the approval must immediately be notified to NSAI.
The duties imposed by the issuing ofthis certificate are not transferable. The legal protection ofthird parties is
not affected by this certificate.
When the manufacture or sale of the system, component or separate technical unit has not been started within
one year of the date of issue of this certificate, then NSAI is to be informed. This requirement also applies when
the manufacture or sale has been halted for more than one year, or when it ought to have been halted for more
than one year. The initial commencement of manufacture or sale, or the resumption of
manufacture or sale, shall then be notified to NSAI within one month of commencement or resumption.
B: Legal Options:
Any objection to the requirements set out in this certificate shall be made within one month of the date of issue.
The objection shall be made, in writing, to NSAI in Dublin.

A04 Die mindestens erforderlichen Geschwindigkeitsbereiche und Tragfähigkeiten der zu
verwendenden Reifen, mit Ausnahme der M+S-Profile, sind den Fahrzeugpapieren zu ent-
nehmen.
Ferner sind nur Reifen eines Reifenherstellers und achsweise eines Profiltyps zulässig.
Bei Verwendung unterschiedlicher Profiltypen auf Vorder- und Hinterachse ist die Eignung für
das jeweilige Fahrzeug durch den Reifen- oder Fahrzeughersteller zu bestätigen.
The minimum speed ranges and load capacities of the tyres to be used (except for mud and snow threads) must
be respected according to the indications contained in the vehicle documents. Furthermore, only tyres of one
manufacturer and for each axle of one thread type are permitted. If different thread types are used on front and
rear axles, their suitability must be confirmed by the tyre or vehicle manufacturer concerned.
A05 Das Fahrwerk und die Bremsaggregate müssen dem Serienstand entsprechen. Die Zu-
lässigkeit weiterer Veränderungen ist gesondert zu beurteilen. Lochzahl, Lochkreis, Mitten-
lochdurchmesser und Einpresstiefe müssen dem Nachrüstrad des Fahrzeugherstellers ent-
sprechen.
The chassis (incl. Suspension system) and the brake units, with exception of the modifications listed in the
column “recommendations and safety precautions’, shall comply to the original state of the vehicle. The
possibility of further modifications must be assed case by case. No. of fixing holes, PCD, centre hole diameter
and wheel offset (ET) shall comply to those of the replacement wheels, supplied by the vehicle manufacturer.
A08 Wird das serienmäßige Ersatzrad verwendet, soll mit mäßiger Geschwindigkeit und nicht
länger als erforderlich gefahren werden. Es müssen die serienmäßigen Befestigungsteile
verwendet werden. Bei Fahrzeugen mit Allradantrieb darf nur ein Ersatzrad mit gleicher Rei-
fengröße bzw. gleichem Abrollumfang verwendet werden.
If the original spare wheel is used the driving speed should be moderated. The use shall be limited (not longer
than necessary). The original equipment mounting components shall be used. With all-wheel-drive vehicles
(4x4), only a spare wheel of the same tyre size and of the same rolling circumference shall be used.
A09 Die Bezieher der Sonderräder sind darauf hinzuweisen, das der vom Fahrzeughersteller
(siehe Betriebsanleitung oder Reifenfülldruckhinweis am Fahrzeug) bzw. der vom Reifenher-
steller vorgeschriebene Reifenfülldruck zu beachten ist. Die Verwendung von Reifen mit Not-
laufeigenschaften ist nur mit Reifenfülldrucküberwachungssystem zulässig.
The end-user shall be informed, that the tyre inflating pressure as specified by the vehicle manufacturer opt.
Tyre manufacturer shall be considered (see also operation manual or indications on the vehicle). The use of
tyres with emergency characteristics is only admitted with tyre pressure control systems.
A11 Es dürfen nur feingliedrige Schneeketten an den laut Betriebsanleitung dafür vorgese-
henen Achsen verwendet werden.
Only fine-linked snow chains shall be used on the relevant axles as indicated in the operation manual of the
vehicle.

A14 Zum Auswuchten der Sonderräder dürfen nur Klebegewichte unterhalb der Felge ange-
bracht werden.
For the balancing of the wheels only adhesive weights may be used under the rim.
A34 Es sind nur schlauchlose Reifen und Gummiventile oder Metallschraubventile mit Uber-
wurfmutter von außen, die weitgehend den Normen (DIN, E.T.R.T.O. bzw. Tyre and Rim)
entsprechen und die für einen Ventilloch-Nenndurchmesser von 11,3 mm geeignet sind, zu-
lässig. Für Fahrzeugausführungen mit einer bauartbedingten Höchstgeschwindigkeit von
mehr als 210 km/h sind nur Metallschraubventile zulässig. Das Ventil darf nicht über den
Felgenrand hinausragen.
Only tubeless tyres and rubber covered or metal valves mounted from outside which comply to a great extent
with the relevant DIN, E.T.R.T.O or Tire and Rim standards and intended for a nominal valve hole of 11,3 mm
are admitted. For vehicles having a maximum speed exceeding 210 km/h only metal valves are admitted. The
valve must not protrude from the wheels rim.
B02 Die Verwendung dieser Rad/Reifen-Kombination ist nur zulässig, wenn diese in den
Fahrzeugpapieren bereits serienmäßig eingetragen oder vom Fahrzeughersteller, siehe Aus-
zug aus der EG-Genehmigung des Fahrzeuges (EG-Übereinstimmungsbescheinigung), frei-

Hinweise und die Empfehlungen des Fahrzeugherstellers sind bei Verwendung dieser Rei-

The use of this combination wheelityre is permitted only if it is already registered in the vehicle documents, in the
Whole Vehicle Type approval documents or in the vehicle manufacturer's Certificate of Conformity. The load
index, the speed index, the M+S marking, the tyre manufacturer and other notes shall comply with those
indicated by the vehicle manufacturer.
B03 Bei Fahrzeugen mit serienmäßigem Reifenfülldruckkontrollsystem mit Druckmesssensor
am Rad kann das serienmäßige System verwendet werden, wenn beim Einbau in Sonderrä-
der die Hinweise des Fahrzeugherstellers bzw. des Systemherstellers und bei nachgerüste-
ten Reifenfülldrucksensoren die Einbauanleitung des Teileherstellers beachtet werden.
Vehicles having an original equipment tire pressure control system with tyre pressure sensor mounted onto the
wheel, may use the original system, if during the installation to the wheels the indications of the vehicle
manufacturer or of the system manufacturers are considered. In case of aftermarket tire pressure sensors the
mounting instructions of the part manufacturer shall be considered.

des Tiefbetts bzw. unterhalb der Felgenschulter bzw. Klammergewichte am inneren
Felgenhorn angebracht werden, ist auf einen Mindestabstand von 3 mm zu Brems-, Fahr-
werks bzw. von 4 mm zu Lenkungsteilen zu achten.
Allgemeine Reifenhinweise
General indications for tyres
Reifen mit dem Geschwindigkeitssymbol V dürfen bei 210 km/h bis zu 100% und bei
240 km/h bis zu 91% ihrer maximalen Tragfähigkeit ausgelastet werden. Dazwischen wird
linear interpoliert. Reifen mit dem Geschwindigkeitssymbol W dürfen bei 240 km/h bis zu
100% und bei 270 km/h bis zu 85% ihrer maximalen Tragfähigkeit ausgelastet werden. Da-
zwischen wird linear interpoliert. Reifen mit dem Geschwindigkeitssymbol Y dürfen bei
270 km/h bis zu 100% und bei 300 km/h bis zu 85% ihrer maximalen Tragfähigkeit ausgela-
stet werden. Dazwischen wird linear interpoliert. Für Geschwindigkeiten über 300 km/h sind
die Tragfähigkeiten vom Reifenhersteller zu bestätigen. Bei der Bestimmung der Tragfähig-
keit ist zur bauartbedingten Höchstgeschwindigkeit des Fahrzeuges eine Toleranz von 5%
oder die vom Fahrzeughersteller vorgegebene Toleranz zu addieren und der Einfluss des
Sturzwinkels zu beachten. Bei Reifen mit der Geschwindigkeitsbezeichnung ZR sind die
Tragfähigkeiten von den Reifenherstellern bestätigen zu lassen. Die Bezieher der Sonderrä-
der sind darauf hinzuweisen, daß der vom Reifenhersteller vorgeschriebenen Reifenfülldruck
zu beachten ist. Um ungünstige Einflüsse auf das Fahrverhalten zu vermeiden, sollten jeweils
nur gleiche Reifen (Bauart, Hersteller und Profiltyp) am Fahrzeug montiert werden. Spezielle
Auflagen im Gutachten bleiben hiervon unberührt.

Die Bezieher der Sonderräder müssen darauf hingewiesen werden, daß bei Verwendung des
serienmäßigen Ersatzrades die serienmäßigen Radbefestigungsteile zu verwenden sind.

A: Additional conditions:
1, The attached technical report, with any of its attachments, forms part ofthis Type Approval certificate.
2; Each type from series production shall be to the measurements specified in the attached drawings, and shall be
manufactured only from the materials specified in the Approval documents.

Changes in the type are permitted only with the explicit permission of NSAI. Breaches of this requirement will
lead to a withdrawal of the Type Approval, and in addition may be subject to criminal prosecution.
At regular intervals, any tests or associated checks prescribed by the applicable legislation to verify continued
conformity with the approved type shall be carried out. The manufacturer shall demonstrate compliance with
this by submitting to NSAI evidence of adequate arrangements and documented control plans for each type
approved.
Any set of samples or test pieces showing evidence of non-conformity shall give rise to further sampling and
testing and all steps shall be taken to restore conformity of production.
This Type Approval will expire when it is surrendered by the holder, or withdrawn by NSAI, or when the
approved type no longer conforms to legal requirements. The recall of the Type Approval can be issued by
NSAI when the conditions required for the issuing or continuation of the Type Approval are no longer current,
or when the Approval holder is in breach of the duties attached to the Type Approval, or when it is established
that the approved type no longer meets the requirements of traffic safety.
Changes in the company name, address or manufacturing site, as well as in any of the sales or other agents
specified in the issuing of the approval must immediately be notified to NSAI.
The duties imposed by the issuing of this certificate are not transferable. The legal protection of third parties is
not affected by this certificate.
When the manufacture or sale of the system, component or separate technical unit has not been started within
one year of the date of issue ofthis certificate, then NSAI is to be informed. This requirement also applies when
the manufacture or sale has been halted for more than one year, or when it ought to have been halted for more
than one year. The initial commencement of manufacture or sale, or the resumption of
manufacture or sale, shall then be notified to NSAI within one month of commencement or resumption.
B: Legal Options:
Any objection to the requirements set out in this certificate shall be made within one month ofthe date ofissue.
The objection shall be made, in writing, to NSAI in Dublin.

A04 Die mindestens erforderlichen Geschwindigkeitsbereiche und Tragfähigkeiten der zu
verwendenden Reifen, mit Ausnahme der M+S-Profile, sind den Fahrzeugpapieren zu ent-
nehmen.
Ferner sind nur Reifen eines Reifenherstellers und achsweise eines Profiltyps zulässig.
Bei Verwendung unterschiedlicher Profiltypen auf Vorder- und Hinterachse ist die Eignung für
das jeweilige Fahrzeug durch den Reifen- oder Fahrzeughersteller zu bestätigen.
The minimum speed ranges and load capacities of the tyres to be used (except for mud and snow threads) must
be respected according to the indications contained in the vehicle documents. Furthermore, only tyres of one
manufacturer and for each axle of one thread type are permitted. If different thread types are used on front and
rear axles, their suitability must be confirmed by the tyre or vehicle manufacturer concerned.
A05 Das Fahrwerk und die Bremsaggregate müssen dem Serienstand entsprechen. Die Zu-
lässigkeit weiterer Veränderungen ist gesondert zu beurteilen. Lochzahl, Lochkreis, Mitten-
lochdurchmesser und Einpresstiefe müssen dem Nachrüstrad des Fahrzeugherstellers ent-
sprechen.
The chassis (incl. Suspension system) and the brake units, with exception of the modifications listed in the
column “recommendations and safety precautions”, shall comply to the original state of the vehicle. The
possibility of further modifications must be assed case by case. No. of fixing holes, PCD, centre hole diameter
and wheel offset (ET) shall comply to those of the replacement wheels, supplied by the vehicle manufacturer.
A08 Wird das serienmäßige Ersatzrad verwendet, soll mit mäßiger Geschwindigkeit und nicht
länger als erforderlich gefahren werden. Es müssen die serienmäßigen Befestigungsteile
verwendet werden. Bei Fahrzeugen mit Allradantrieb darf nur ein Ersatzrad mit gleicher Rei-
fengröße bzw. gleichem Abrollumfang verwendet werden.
If the original spare wheel is used the driving speed should be moderated. The use shall be limited (not longer
than necessary). The original equipment mounting components shall be used. With all-wheel-drive vehicles
(4x4), only a spare wheel of the same tyre size and of the same rolling circumference shall be used.
A09 Die Bezieher der Sonderräder sind darauf hinzuweisen, das der vom Fahrzeughersteller
(siehe Betriebsanleitung oder Reifenfülldruckhinweis am Fahrzeug) bzw. der vom Reifenher-
steller vorgeschriebene Reifenfülldruck zu beachten ist. Die Verwendung von Reifen mit Not-
laufeigenschaften ist nur mit Reifenfülldrucküberwachungssystem zulässig.
The end-user shall be informed, that the tyre inflating pressure as specified by the vehicle manufacturer opt.
Tyre manufacturer shall be considered (see also operation manual or indications on the vehicle). The use of
tyres with emergency characteristics is only admitted with tyre pressure control systems.
A11 Es dürfen nur feingliedrige Schneeketten an den laut Betriebsanleitung dafür vorgese-
henen Achsen verwendet werden.
Only fine-linked snow chains shall be used on the relevant axles as indicated in the operation manual of the
vehicle.

A34 Es sind nur schlauchlose Reifen und Gummiventile oder Metallschraubventile mit Über-
wurfmutter von außen, die weitgehend den Normen (DIN, E.T.R.T.O. bzw. Tyre and Rim)
entsprechen und die für einen Ventilloch-Nenndurchmesser von 11,3 mm geeignet sind, zu-
lässig. Für Fahrzeugausführungen mit einer bauartbedingten Höchstgeschwindigkeit von
mehr als 210 km/h sind nur Metallschraubventile zulässig. Das Ventil darf nicht über den
Felgenrand hinausragen.
Only tubeless tyres and rubber covered or metal valves mounted from outside which comply to a great extent
with the relevant DIN, E.T.R.T.O or Tire and Rim standards and intended for a nominal valve hole of 11,3 mm
are admitted. For vehicles having a maximum speed exceeding 210 km/h only metal valves are admitted. The
valve must not protrude from the wheels rim.
B02 Die Verwendung dieser Rad/Reifen-Kombination ist nur zulässig, wenn diese in den
Fahrzeugpapieren bereits serienmäßig eingetragen oder vom Fahrzeughersteller, siehe Aus-
zug aus der EG-Genehmigung des Fahrzeuges (EG-Übereinstimmungsbescheinigung), frei-
gegeben ist. Der Load Index, das Geschwindigkeitssysmbol, die M+S Kennzeichnung, die
Hinweise und die Empfehlungen des Fahrzeugherstellers sind bei Verwendung dieser Rei-
fengröße zu beachten.
The use of this combination wheelltyre is permitted only if it is already registered in the vehicle documents, in the
Whole Vehicle Type approval documents or in the vehicle manufacturer's Certificate of Conformity. The load
index, the speed index, the M+S marking, the tyre manufacturer and other notes shall comply with those
indicated by the vehicle manufacturer.
B03 Bei Fahrzeugen mit serienmäßigem Reifenfülldruckkontrollsystem mit Druckmesssensor
am Rad kann das serienmäßige System verwendet werden, wenn beim Einbau in Sonderrä-
der die Hinweise des Fahrzeugherstellers bzw. des Systemherstellers und bei nachgerüste-
ten Reifenfülldrucksensoren die Einbauanleitung des Teileherstellers beachtet werden.
Vehicles having an original equipment tire pressure control system with tyre pressure sensor mounted onto the
wheel, may use the original system, if during the installation to the wheels the indications of the vehicle
manufacturer or of the system manufacturers are considered. In case of aftermarket tire pressure sensors the
mounting instructions of the part manufacturer shall be considered.
D01-LF9080 Montage nur zulässig an Achse 2 (Hinterachse). Das dimensionsgleiche Nach-
rüstrad ist nur in Verbindung mit dem Nachrüstrad des Fahrzeugherstellers bzw. dem Rad für

gen sind der Genehmigung E24 124R 000050 zu entnehmen) an Achse 1 (Vorderachse) zu-
lässig. Ferner ist je Achse ist nur ein Radtyp — und ausführung zulässig.
Mounting only admitted on axle 2 (rear axle). The pattern part replacement wheel is only admitted in
combination with the vehicle manufacturer's replacement wheel resp. the OE-wheel resp. the pattern part
replacement wheel of the manufacturer MAK S.p.A., type: LF8080, version: I2BX ( 8J x 18 EH2+, ET 30; the
dimensions and conditions are listed in the approval E24 124R 000050) on axle 1 (front axle). On each axle the
use of only one wheel type and wheel version is admitted.

For the mounting of the wheels the original wheel fixing components shall be used. The tightening torque as
indicated in the operation manual shall be used.

balancing weights
Sofern zum Auswuchten der Sonderräder an der Felgeninnenseite Klebegewichte unterhalb
des Tiefbetts bzw. unterhalb der Felgenschulter bzw. Klammergewichte am inneren
Felgenhorn angebracht werden, ist auf einen Mindestabstand von 3 mm zu Brems-, Fahr-
werks bzw. von 4 mm zu Lenkungsteilen zu achten.
Allgemeine Reifenhinweise
General indications for tyres
Reifen mit dem Geschwindigkeitssymbol V dürfen bei 210 km/h bis zu 100% und bei
240 km/h bis zu 91% ihrer maximalen Tragfähigkeit ausgelastet werden. Dazwischen wird
linear interpoliert. Reifen mit dem Geschwindigkeitssymbol W dürfen bei 240 km/h bis zu
100% und bei 270 km/h bis zu 85% ihrer maximalen Tragfähigkeit ausgelastet werden. Da-
zwischen wird linear interpoliert. Reifen mit dem Geschwindigkeitssymbol Y dürfen bei
270 km/h bis zu 100% und bei 300 km/h bis zu 85% ihrer maximalen Tragfähigkeit ausgela-
stet werden. Dazwischen wird linear interpoliert. Für Geschwindigkeiten über 300 km/h sind
die Tragfähigkeiten vom Reifenhersteller zu bestätigen. Bei der Bestimmung der Tragfähig-
keit ist zur bauartbedingten Höchstgeschwindigkeit des Fahrzeuges eine Toleranz von 5%
oder die vom Fahrzeughersteller vorgegebene Toleranz zu addieren und der Einfluss des
Sturzwinkels zu beachten. Bei Reifen mit der Geschwindigkeitsbezeichnung ZR sind die
Tragfähigkeiten von den Reifenherstellern bestätigen zu lassen. Die Bezieher der Sonderrä-
der sind darauf hinzuweisen, daß der vom Reifenhersteller vorgeschriebenen Reifenfülldruck
zu beachten ist. Um ungünstige Einflüsse auf das Fahrverhalten zu vermeiden, sollten jeweils
nur gleiche Reifen (Bauart, Hersteller und Profiltyp) am Fahrzeug montiert werden. Spezielle
Auflagen im Gutachten bleiben hiervon unberührt.

Die Bezieher der Sonderräder müssen darauf hingewiesen werden, daß bei Verwendung des
serienmäßigen Ersatzrades die serienmäßigen Radbefestigungsteile zu verwenden sind.
