Restrictions
10B) Apart from tires with an M + S tread, the required minimum speed ranges for the tires to be used, taking
load indexes into consideration, can be found in the vehicle documentation, unless deviations have been
defined in the scope of application.
11H) If the standard spare wheel is used, the car should be driven at moderate speed and for no longer than
necessary. The wheel must be fitted with standard fastening elements. When the spare wheel is used on
four-wheel-drive vehicles, care should be taken to use only tires with identically sized rolling
circumference.
11N) The brake and steering systems and the suspension, except for custom suspension springs, must be
standard, unless governed by other requirements.
12K) The use of snow chains is only permitted if the latter have been approved by the vehicle manufacturer for
this wheel/tire combination (cf. operating instructions).
51A) The inflation pressure specified by the vehicle manufacturer (see operating instructions or tire inflation
pressure indicated on the vehicle) or tire manufacturer must be observed. According to the manufacturer,
tires with run-flat properties may only be used in combination with a tire inflation monitoring system.
51G) This wheel/tire combination may only be used if this tire has already been entered as the standard in
vehicle documents or has been approved by the vehicle manufacturer, see excerpts from EC vehicle
approval (EC certificate of compliance). The load index, speed symbol, M+ S identification, the tire makes
entered in the vehicle documentation and the remarks and recommendations of the vehicle manufacturer
must be observed when this tire size is used.
52J) This tire size is only permitted with M+S tread
76V) The use of this tire size and offset is only permitted if used as standard.
1) To be kept:
- the standard wheel size and offset.
- tyre size with service description (load and speed index) and tyre brand commitments
- as well as limitations to snow tyres (M+S) from the car documents.
- requirements and limitations of snow chains from the operating licence and the operation manual.
2) Only permissible at vehicle models, which are allowed to use steel wheels as standard.
33) The standard fixing parts and accessories of the vehicle manufacturer for the corresponding series-wheel
must be used.
